Physics is about studying how the universe works, and since you're in it, it's really about understanding you and the world you live in. Hopefully you'll find this very interesting! Seek to improve your learning by polishing each portfolio objective, each online text assignment, and then by noticing physics in your life!

AIMS WEEK (sounds like time to throw more stuph in physics!)

This week our driving question will be "What is the most acceleration we can get due to earth's gravity?"  And yes, we'll be dropping things off high places (who will bring the freshies?)

But first, for Monday, we need some time to polish our projects (and grades!), so we'll start by watching the Live Scribe pencast in the post below as a group, and then work on your stuph (if you have something AWESOME to show the class, let Mr. Chapman know right away)

Tuesday~Wednesday~Thursday  bring stuph to chuck off high places to measure acceleration due to gravity (cell phones, fruit, bowling balls, etc.)

  1. What variables will you need to measure?
  2. How will you measure them?
  3. What will you need to keep constant?
  4. How will you calculate the acceleration due to gravity with the data you collected?  (This might need to be done for homework)

Friday - there has to be a better way, so we'll get technical ;-)
