How powerful are you? (And how much does it co$t to leave things on?)

Those big yellow stickers on appliances give a good estimate about how much it will cost to run the thing for a year, but how is that stuph calculated?

We know Power = Rate of Energy transfer  (P = E/t), and typically, Energy costs between 10-15 cents per KWhr.  (Let's use 10 cents to make the calcs easier).
