Physics is about studying how the universe works, and since you're in it, it's really about understanding you and the world you live in. Hopefully you'll find this very interesting! Seek to improve your learning by polishing each portfolio objective, each online text assignment, and then by noticing physics in your life!

Happy Week 2 - Sources of Forces (and Work & NRG)

Today (Mon/Tue)  we will take a look at just how awesome your gravitation stuff was last week!  (And we'll chat a bit about those awesome cards too...and how to earn the new improved versions)  Please pull up what you accomplished last week on the computer.

(Wed-Thu-Fri) (interactive powerpointing - log into Canvas and check out #2 (btw - we switched from assignments to modules :-))

We're also going to do a quick review of energy and then we are going to look more closely at this idea of working...

(Open Phet Skate Park - let's see if the new installs on the computers work)
Since work has to do with forces and displacements we'll talk little bit about some of these sources of forces...

(Let's play with pendulums and photogates!)

..and of course being in physics we're going to do some experiments to investigate whether or not this energy stuff is actually conserved...!
