Physics is about studying how the universe works, and since you're in it, it's really about understanding you and the world you live in. Hopefully you'll find this very interesting! Seek to improve your learning by polishing each portfolio objective, each online text assignment, and then by noticing physics in your life!

Happy New Year!

Welcome back!

To get started, first find your new seat (and new group!)
Remember, start each day with a quick log in to check THIS blog for instructions - if there isn't anything specific, just assume that you can keep working from where we were previously (usually in Canvas)

So, today, after you find your new seat,

  1. take the pretest - we'll be incorporating Zip Grading so you'll need to actually bubble carefully
  2. Then log in to Canvas
  3. complete the first "quiz" in Canvas about what your goal is this semester
  4. Log in to the textbook (the blue circle thingy on the dock)
  5. and make sure you can also access the homework grading area for the book (remember?)
  6. You can start #8 Bigger Circles to get a hang about planetary motion (big physics!)
  7. AP Testers should start researching the AP Physics 1 test information

The rest of the week we'll be working on more things in the etext, the online homeworks, and a few simulations.

just for phun, what does this picture have to do with Rene Descartes?  Cogito ergo sum!
