Physics is about studying how the universe works, and since you're in it, it's really about understanding you and the world you live in. Hopefully you'll find this very interesting! Seek to improve your learning by polishing each portfolio objective, each online text assignment, and then by noticing physics in your life!

Putting it all together

In class today, please:
  • On your wallboards, show your average flight time from the vertical rocket experience
  • Show how you calculated the launch velocity
  • Note the power (LO, MED, HIGH, SUPER)
  • Just for fun, let's convert your launch velocity to miles per hour.
  • How many mph go with 1 m/s?
  • Based on your experiments, does horizontal velocity have anything to do with flight time?
  • So now let's try solving a problem using this knowledge:
  • You'll need to be able to solve the problem above in real-life, hint hint hint...
  • Then get yourself logged into CANVAS when you receive the invite email. (Some of the above will be added to part #9 in the Projectiles Project)
